Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be proficient in various medical practices, including acute care, emergency medicine, and outpatient services. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Work alongside physicians and other APP's in a collaborative manner, with inpatient supervision by Board Certified Pediatricians
- Work outpatient clinic- primary care for adults and pediatrics.
- Inpatient- pediatrics
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and data management.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records and patient information.
- Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm, 1 weekend every 1-2 months.
Requirements
- Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Provider with BLS, ACLS, PALS certified or willing to attain.
- Proven experience in acute care settings; critical care experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing processes.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems for efficient patient documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Experience in various specialties such as pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and manage complex patient cases effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
