Medical Receptionist
$16.50/hour | Monday–Thursday, 40-hour workweek| Outpatient Internal Medicine Clinic
We are looking for a friendly, dependable Medical Receptionist to join our small outpatient internal medicine clinic.
Our clinic is being restructured, and we are intentionally working to build a workplace characterized by hard work, camaraderie, teamwork, and an absence of unnecessary workplace drama. We want people who enjoy working together, take pride in doing their jobs well, and contribute positively to both their coworkers' and patients' days.
The Medical Receptionist will be one of the first people our patients encounter and will play an important role in helping us create an efficient, welcoming, and uplifting clinic experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and out
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and assist with routine patient questions
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff and providers
- Help keep the front office organized and running efficiently
- Look for opportunities to make each patient's experience positive and welcoming
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, upbeat, organized, and comfortable staying busy. The right person will enjoy interacting with patients, work well as part of a close-knit team, and be willing to step in and help when something needs to be done.
Previous medical-office or receptionist experience is preferred. Experience working with insurance information and an electronic medical record is particularly helpful.
Pay: $16.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
Location: Cornerstone Medical Clinic, Joplin, Missouri
