Position Overview
We’re hiring a Commercial Roofing Foreman/Project Manager to run daily field operations on commercial roofing and building envelope projects. This is a hybrid leadership and project-execution role. You’ll manage crews, coordinate materials and subcontractors, oversee safety, and communicate directly with clients, inspectors, and internal project managers.
In short: you make sure the project is done right, done safely, and done on time.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and supervise commercial roofing crews (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, shingles, metal, etc.)
- Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and maintain productivity standards
- Enforce adherence to plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements
Project Management
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries, equipment, and subcontractors
- Track project milestones, timelines, and progress
- Complete daily logs, photos, and required documentation
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with Free Hill Capital standards and OSHA/state regulations
- Identify issues early and implement immediate corrective action
- Perform inspections, punch lists, and final close-out tasks
Communication
- Act as the on-site point of contact for clients, inspectors, engineers, and internal management
- Provide clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and needs
- Maintain a professional jobsite environment at all times
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of commercial roofing experience (foreman or project lead preferred)
- Strong knowledge of TPO, EPDM, tapered systems, ISO installation, metal details, and waterproofing
- Ability to read blueprints, scopes of work, and technical specifications
- Proven leadership and crew-management skills
- Solid understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA standards
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on elevated roof structures
- Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided for qualified candidates)
