I. Company Description:
The Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment (F.R.E.E.) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Virginia. Dedicated to empowering the lives of low-income, uninsured, or underinsured adults, F.R.E.E. collects, sanitizes, and gifts mobility-related rehabilitation equipment to those in need. By providing crucial mobility tools, F.R.E.E. helps individuals regain independence and achieve a higher quality of life.
The organization also plays a significant role in reducing overall healthcare costs in Virginia. Our mission is to provide mobility equipment that maximizes functional independence, ensuring that every individual has access to essential resources for rehabilitation.
II. Reports to:
Executive Director & COO
Basic Function:
Provides front line contact and resource information to the community as a representative of the Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment and Endowment by implementing a wide range of clerical, communicative and organizational responsibilities.
Significant Responsibilities:
1. Provide professional and informative reception for callers, visitors, and clients.
2. Maintains contact information and promptly returns calls promptly.
3. Intake client requests, prepares client files, match equipment appropriately. Arrange for equipment pick-ups and distributes equipment/information sheets to individuals.
4. Corresponds with community (i.e. emails letters to clients, area professionals, to other organizations, thank you letters, etc.) as needed.
5. Maintains, organizes, and secures client records and filing system for confidential office use.
6. Enters data (i.e. clients served, inventory, etc.) to be used for reporting information to the community by Executive Director, COO monthly.
7. Maintain email list to O.T. and P.T. when special equipment is donated.
8. Performs Outcome calls to clients to survey their status and satisfaction of F.R.E.E.'s services.
9. Community outreach events and web meetings, to share our services with other agencies as well as making new collaborative contacts.
10. Participate in every 2-week staff team meetings.
11. Collect donated equipment from the community and/or Goodwill.
12. Process equipment by cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting donated equipment before gifting.
13. Ensure proper functioning of equipment before gifting.
14. Utilize Hub Scrub and Steamer for equipment cleaning.
15. Performs additional responsibilities determined by the Executive Director, COO.

IV. Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Previous experience with clerical focus is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications:
- None required for application.

- Ability to work with the public, especially those with disabilities required.
- Neat, professional appearance required.
- Clear communication, organizational and time management skills required.
- Strong Computer skills with advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to follow directions and independently complete tasks required.

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
