Associate Attorney - Personal Injury (1-5 Years Experience)
Rapidly growing personal injury law practice is seeking a motivated associate attorney with 1-5 years experience. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced partner and gain hands on litigation experience and trial experience while assisting with an active caseload of motor vehicle accidents and premises liability cases.
Responsibilities- Assisting partner with all phases of personal injury litigation, from initial discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Drafting and responding to written discovery.
- Drafting substantive motions and briefs.
- Attend and conduct depositions, argue motions in court, and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts as needed.
- 1–5 years of experience in personal injury (plaintiff or defense).
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a partner.
PREFERRED
- Experience drafting discovery responses and motions
- Experience taking depositions
- Trial Experience
- Admission to NY Bar.
*Candidate should have the ability to commute to and from Bergen County and travel to courthouses in the North Jersey area*
