Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fredericksburg, VA, for an Elementary Assistant Principal. The Elementary Assistant Principal will support the Principal in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the elementary school. Responsibilities include assisting with curriculum development, faculty support, student discipline, parental engagement, and fostering a positive Christian educational environment. The role also encompasses supporting extracurricular activities, staff evaluations, and ensuring compliance with academic and spiritual standards.
Qualifications
- Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord, maintained through personal routines (such as prayer and reading the Bible) and in the school setting (through regular participation in Prayer and Share devotional times and other spiritual development)
- Regular in attendance at an evangelical, Protestant church
- Bachelor's degree that preferably includes courses focused on K-12 education
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, or administration, or significant progress in graduate program
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills suitable for managing day-to-day operations, staff coordination, and problem-solving.
- Experience in academic program development and familiarity with current teaching methodologies, including curriculum planning.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and student behavior management, emphasizing a positive and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and teachers.
- A thorough understanding of and commitment to integrating Biblical principles into education.
