We are seeking a highly organized and driven Survey Office Technician to join our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze field data collected by field crews
- Prepare CAD drawings (i.e. draft survey plats, topographic surveys, location drawings, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys.), calculate construction stakeout points and prepare cutsheets for contractors
- Coordinate with field crews to clarify project needs as well as communicate daily with PM regarding work tasks, budgets, schedules and scope or work
- Maintain accurate records of project data (control, benchmarks, etc.)
- Perform basic survey calculations (boundary comps, control reductions, grading, etc) and research as required under the direction of a licensed surveyor
- Stay current with regulatory and industry standards, as well as advancements in technology and best practices.
- Participate in professional, industry, and community organizations to represent FWA and contribute to the profession.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering technology or related field (preferred but not required)
- 1-3 Years Experience in a CAD drafting role
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in CAD
Familiar with survey instruments and data collection
General knowledge of Survey Principles
Good Communication Skills
Ability to manage multiple task and deadlines
