- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the resident's individual needs
- Assisting residents with eating and drinking such as meal and beverage selection, cueing for meal completion and/or hands on feeding. Assist residents in between meals with obtaining snacks and hydration throughout the day.
- Encourage resident participation in leisure activities provided for residents as described in activity calendar, social events, walking program or as needed to practice de-escalation techniques per resident's support plan
- Assist in admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures
- Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including telephone calls, and requests from family and friends, visitors, or other personnel
- High school diploma or GED required
- previous experience in caring for the elderly
- CPR/First Aid Certification required.
