- Demonstrate how to operate dish machine and knows correct wash and final rinse temperatures. Knows corrective action if wash/final rinse temperatures are not meeting standards
- Demonstrates correct labeling and dating procedures along with proper food storage techniques
- Uses knives and cutting boards appropriately
- Demonstrates how to operate small equipment: griddle, can opener, toaster, etc
- Demonstrates how to prepare non-cooked menu items: sandwiches, sides, entree salads, etc
- Demonstrates correct portioning of all menu items during meal service consistent with menu extensions using the correct serving utensils, etc.
- Able to read and interpret patient/resident meal tickets and serve meal consistent with prescribed resident diets & textures
- High School diploma preferred, but not required
- Some experience preferred, but not required
