Job Summary
Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the Frederick Health Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the Frederick Health Standards of Behavior. Supports the elements of the Frederick Health Physician Compact. Provides high quality care to patients.
Must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Maryland, have a valid Federal DEA and Maryland CDS license, MRO certification or able to obtain certification within 12 months of hire, Board Certified or eligibility in Primary Care Specialty (Occupational Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine). If not Board Certified, will become Board Certified within five years of hire date. As a clinical caregiver, diagnoses and treats work related illnesses and injuries. Performs other clinical duties as requested.

- Specific to Employer Solutions:
- Performs occupational history and physical exams and interprets laboratory tests and x-rays, EKG’s for employees of CorpOHS corporate clients (pre-placement, surveillance, DOT, etc.).
- Provides initial and follow-up injury care, including minor laceration repairs, in accordance with CorpOHS practice guidelines and standard of care.
- Reports to employer any significant employment concerns, employee work status, and/or needed accommodations, etc.
- Provides counseling skills in relation to blood borne pathogens, work-related stress disorders, etc.
- Counsels employee on abnormal findings and general wellness considerations.
- Refers patients to medical sub-specialists and facilities, such as laboratory and imaging services, as determined by good medical judgment.
- Timely completes dictation for each visit.
- Accurately completes all necessary forms.
- Provides supervision to the Physician Assistant both when working concurrently in the CorpOHS clinic and by telephone to the Physician Assistant at an onsite event.
- Provides Medical Review Officer Services to support the FHES drug and alcohol testing programs.
- May serve as the “Company Physician” with companies contracting with FHES for such services.
- Perform such quality assurance activities at the Practice Site as requested by the FHES Medical Director.
- Working knowledge of Maryland Worker’s Compensation system, as well as OSHA, DOT and other Federal work-related regulations.
- Able to use Windows based computer software.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of computer skills. Experience with prior electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
- Maintains the necessary CME credits to maintain licensure.
- Must demonstrate ability to stay organized; is able to multi-task effectively.
- Must demonstrate time management, conflict resolution, and trouble shooting skills.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy certification from an approved Program.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
- Current DEA license.
- Current Maryland Controlled Substance license.
- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or an approved training center.
- License to practice in any state that has never been suspended or revoked.
- Has not been excluded from participation from any Payers.

Physical Demands:
Light Work - Lifting up to 20 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes and/or carrying up to 10 pounds, or requiring walking or standing to a significant degree (about six [6] hours a day).
