Job Summary
The LMS Administrator provides overall coordination of the Frederick Health Learning Management System (LMS). Duties include collaborating with Training and Organization Development, Human Resources and other departments to identify, develop and deliver eLearning solutions, coordinating LMS activities with other LMS administrators, and delivering and evaluating live training classes. Manages Learning Management System to ensure that employees are correctly input and assigned training; updates training programs according to business need. Uses state-of-the-art elearning course development tool(s) to create custom elearning courses, importing into the organization's LMS in compliance with current elearning industry standards.
Example Of Essential Functions
Sedentary - Light Work - Lifting up to 15 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes). While work is mostly done sitting, a certain amount of walking or standing is often necessary.

Example Of Essential Functions
- Ensures training solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning, using effective instructional design principles. Develops alternative and blended learning methodologies and tools to design and promote learning and development.
- Designs, develops, implements, and delivers instructional materials that transform complex information into professionally written, interactive multimedia instruction.
- Ensures instructional design solutions are appropriately matched to instructional objectives and desired performance outcomes.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned areas of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management.
- Provides classroom instruction as required to ensure organizational expectations are met. For example: presenting and facilitating specified in-person classes for new hires and other employees.
- Responsible to ensure that all employees complete annual compliance training.
- Generate and manage system reports within the LMS as requested, and use Excel to create custom reports to meet organizational needs.
- Able to apply adult learning principles in education design, presentation, teaching and evaluation methods.
- Organizational, communication and analytical thinking skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Curriculum Design, education, instructional design or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Experience – Two years of experience managing an LMS and authoring courses.
- Intermediate or higher level experience in Excel and Microsoft 365, required.
- Symplr Learning, Articulate, and Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred.
