Accounting Manager

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (100% On-Site)

Overview:

A privately held commercial construction company with multiple operating entities is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This hands-on role reports directly to the CFO and offers significant exposure to ownership, along with the opportunity to influence financial processes and support the organization’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger with accuracy
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage month-end close activities
• Conduct variance analysis and support budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including project billing and AIA billing
• Partner with leadership to enhance financial accuracy, internal controls, and process efficiency
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting, ideally with multi-entity exposure
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field
• Construction industry experience and familiarity with AIA billing preferred but not required
• CPA licensed, actively pursuing, or interested in pursuing
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a 100% on-site role
