What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Maintenance Tech III (FCS) position at Frederick County Public Schools?
Qualifications:
- High school graduate/GED and/or completion of a vocational course or any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities;
- Five (5) years of experience in HVAC
- A journeyman’s license in HVAC from the Commonwealth of Virginia required
- A master license in HVAC from the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred
- Excellent knowledge of standard practices and terminology within the trades of HVAC; skill in the use of appropriate tools; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to work independently and give leadership to other employees; dependable and thorough with all responsibilities
Pay Rate:
Facilities Maintenance Salary Scale Grade-C9 (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position)
Assignment:
Full time / 12 months / 245 days
Start Date:
This position is effective with the 2026-2027 school year
Salary : $50,176 - $82,614
