Role Description The Senior Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Montclair, NJ. This role is responsible for guiding clients through the jewelry selection process, presenting collections, explaining product features, and supporting custom design consultations to ensure an exceptional client experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the sales floor, building and nurturing client relationships, handling inquiries in person and by phone or email, processing transactions, executing asset protection procedures, and maintaining accurate sales and customer records. The Senior Sales Representative will also support visual merchandising, participate in events and trunk shows, collaborate with management on sales strategies, and help train or mentor junior sales team members. This position plays a key role in upholding our high standards of service, representing the brand with professionalism, and contributing to individual and storewide sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide all customers with an outstanding sales experience and follow up after the sale. Show passion for the jewelry and connecting with the client to best identify and fulfill their desires 
• Support and aid the team by providing assistance during sales
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness standards of the store to present the best impression to potential customers
• Assist in set up and break down procedures at opening / closing. Assist in preparing inventory as needed
• Take in and process returns, repairs, and other jobs properly and with all necessary product and customer information
• Process sales and other activities accurately through the point-of-sale system 
• Comply with all asset protection procedures and guidelines to ensure the security of the store, the employees, and the products
• Communicate with clients and other employees in a kind, sincere, and professional manner

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail experience, in a luxury environment preferred
• Strong retail sales and client relationship skills
• Knowledge of fine jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones, or a strong interest and willingness to learn product details and industry standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and the ability to build trust with diverse clients
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, basic computer applications, and accurate record-keeping
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in Montclair, NJ, including weekends and peak retail periods as needed.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team as required
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail in handling valuable merchandise and confidential client information.
• Background in fine jewelry, fashion, or other luxury goods is a plus; formal training or certification in gemology or jewelry studies is beneficial but not required.
