Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role:

Fred Smith Company is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to provide support to our organization. Daily tasks may vary depending on the needs of the company, so flexibility is a necessity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing accounts payable using multiple accounting software programs and other programs
• Responsible for paying and keeping record of all invoices
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
• Work collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting audits
• Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, strong skills in Excel and familiarity with relevant computer software
