What You’ll Learn & Do

With structured classroom training and hands-on field experience, you will be trained to perform the core functions of an Automobile Claims Appraiser, including:

• Use CCC One estimating software to prepare accurate vehicle damage estimates
• Inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles in the field and at repair facilities
• Determine repairable versus total loss vehicles and complete total loss evaluations
• Understand vehicle structure, parts, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Review repair plans and determine appropriate labor operations and repair methods
• Negotiate repair costs, advance charges, and repair procedures with body shops
• Negotiate parts usage, including aftermarket and LKQ parts versus OEM, when appropriate
• Apply policy coverage, claims guidelines, and company procedures accurately
• Clearly explain estimates and repair decisions to customers in a professional manner
• Develop strong analytical, technical, and decision-making skills used in automobile claims
