Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with month-end financial and regulatory reports and closing processes.
Review and assist with daily posting activity and general ledger accounts reconciliations for banking and insurance activity in a high-volume transaction environment.
Performs accounts payable batch audits.
Report Sales and use tax.
Prepare financial reports and reconciliations for interim and year-end reporting periods.
Ability to recognize accounting variations for GAAP, Statutory and Tax accounting.
Perform analysis of insurance premiums, claims and operating expenses.
Other accounting research and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Accounting degree from a 4 year accredited university.
Working knowledge of advanced MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook email.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment
Must be dependable, organized, detail oriented and a team player.
Education/Training/Experience
Accounting degree from a 4 year accredited university.
2 years of experience with a focus in financial reporting, accounting transactions and account analysis.
