Responsible for performing standard and investigative laboratory work in support of scientific research by performing bench-level experiments, operating analytical instruments, recovering, compiling and verifying the accuracy of research data; performing calculations; preparing charts, graphs and summaries.

- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines.
- Perform and modify documented protocols and assays.
- Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays.
- Interpret and report on experimental results.
- Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed.
- Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
- May supervise work-study students.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
- Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with isolation of human PBMCs from peripheral blood and leukapheresis products.
- Multicolor flow cytometry panel staining experience.
- Experience with DNA and RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR and qPCR.
- Computational & data analysis experience including FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, R, Excel data management, statistical analysis, figure preparation.
The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
