Lab Aide - Temporary

This is a temporary position to directly support the Corey laboratory in the Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division (VIDD). The Lab Aide will work closely with Dr. Corey and other laboratory staff to completed assigned tasks.

Create and maintain specimen inventory records.
• File freezer inventory and lab records.
• Review and improve inventory of existing biospecimens.
• General lab and equipment maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent with an interest in the sciences.
• Able to lift 15 pounds or more (e.g. freezer canes to organize and catalog samples).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use MS word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent work ethic are required.
• Flexible and able to work independently without supervision.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
