Pay/Schedule:
- Part-Time (5 hours/week, 12-month duration)
- $60.00 per hour

What You Will Do:
The Nurse is responsible for assessing and monitoring participants' physical health needs, including medication management, illness and injuries. Work with Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and other team members to care for and maintain appropriate levels of medication. Treat minor illness and injuries as they occur and ensure participants are linked with primary and specialty health care as needed. Educate team members on participants' health conditions. Track participant mental status, medications, and response to medication, and report any changes to team as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
- Licensed as a R.N. in the State of California.
- License must be in good standing and with no restrictions in the State of California.
- Cognitive and psychomotor skills to practice nursing as an applied science.
- Proven ability to devise nursing care plan and apply scientific knowledge to participant care.
- Ability to write legibly and objectively.
- Knowledge of the theoretical foundation in child and adolescent development and therapeutic intervention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
- Clean driving record; current CA Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hired.
- Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- B.A./B.S. Degree in Nursing.
- Two (two) or more years' experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community.
