We are committed to guiding individuals and families through the legal complexities of the probate process with professionalism, efficiency, and care. We're looking for a capable and organized probate paralegal to support our attorneys and help us deliver excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, file, and manage probate and estate administration documents
- Maintain case files and track deadlines from intake through case closure
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and legal forms under attorney supervision
- Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule meetings, court appearances, and maintain the attorneys’ calendars
- Provide administrative and organizational support as needed
- Perform billing through the firm's legal billing software
- Draft, issue, and track subpoenas; coordinate service of process and manage records production
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role (experience in probate law preferred)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish required) – strong communication skills in both languages are essential for client interaction
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with probate procedures and court filing systems
- Experience with legal practice management software (Clio or similar software)
