Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all aspects of FRDAs accounting and financial strategy, operations, and performance. The CFO ensures fiscal discipline, strategic growth, and compliance with all federal contracting and industry standards and regulations. The CFO will partner with the CEO, COO, and business units to align financial resources with FRDAs long-term growth strategies.
The CFO will provide hands-on, strategic, and analytically rigorous financial leadership and will have experience in the Special Operations Forces and the Intelligence Community regarding compliance, enterprise transformation, and financial scalability. The CFO will drive operational excellence while strengthening FRDAs position as a trusted, mission-ready partner the SOF and IC communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Develop and execute FRDAs financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate growth, and mission performance.
- Serve as the principal financial advisor to the CEO, providing clear, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Operations:
- Direct all financial management functions, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, audit, compliance, and program finance.
- Oversee the development of accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support execution and long-term strategic planning.
- Structure and oversee financing activities to support sustainable growth and capital efficiency.
- Ensure accountability and effective resource allocation across business units to support strategic priorities.
- Compliance & Controls:
- Coordinate with the COO on enterprise risk management including financial, contractual, and operational risk mitigation frameworks.
- Oversee tax strategy, insurance, and regulatory reporting to ensure integrity and transparency in all financial matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership to include the implementation of effective financial systems, processes, and controls, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role within the government contracting arena in support of Department of Defense services or the intelligence community.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing finance, accounting, HR, contracts, and IT functions.
- Possess understanding of government contracting structures and compliance, in particular in DOD financial management, DCAA, DCMA, and FAR/DFARS.
- Experienced in Cost-Plus, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price, along with the ability to forecast and manage program profitability while operating within contract and audit requirements.
- Adept building scalable financial and operational systems, overseeing indirect rate structures, and aligning corporate budgets with long-term strategic objectives and contract pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and treasury practices, financial strategy, and financial operations.
- Strong leadership, business acumen, and effective decision-making skills.
- Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, and budget and resource planning.
- Personal integrity, credibility, and commitment to the company's mission and values.
- Flexible and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-moving environment while maintaining focus and resourcefulness.
- Active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or masters degree in a related field.
- CPA certification.
- Active Top Secret clearance or higher.
