Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist performs finance support functions to provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiencies in FRC’s operational processes and procedures. This is an integral position to the company’s continued success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Processing external and internal invoices and ACH payments with accurate coding
- Ensure timely payment and cashflow updates
- Request W9s and other documentation to ensure authorized payments
- Work to resolve vendor issues properly
- Record credit memos accurately as they are received
- Accounts Receivable
- Process invoices to customers
- Record and process customers payments timely and accurately
- Generate monthly statements for customers to advise on outstanding balances
- Work to resolve customer issues and ensure excellent customer service
- Assist with month-end close
- Manage sales and use tax reporting
- Prepares general ledger entries to main books
- General ledger account reconciliation
- Daily cash reporting
- Prepares and analyzes appropriate accounting and finance reports
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- 5-7 years experience
- Able to communicate effectively
- Organized
- Able to analyze information
- Data entry skills
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
