Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics, including complex systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and electrical components.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and suspension checks to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace critical components including transmissions, powertrain parts, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems with precision.
- Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and painting to restore vehicles’ appearance and structural integrity.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools efficiently to complete repairs accurately.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols while working on GM vehicles or other makes/models requiring specific expertise.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimates, and timelines to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or autobody technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding automotive electrical wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, wheel alignment, tire service, and auto estimating is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems along with experience working on GM vehicles is a plus.
