About the Role:

The Meat Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring that customers receive high-quality meat products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position involves not only the preparation and display of various meat cuts but also providing exceptional customer service to assist shoppers in making informed choices. The Meat Clerk is responsible for adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining the freshness of products, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and store reputation. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with other team members to manage inventory and restock items as needed. Ultimately, the Meat Clerk contributes to the overall success of the store by promoting a positive shopping experience and ensuring product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a meat department.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in food safety or handling.
• Experience with meat cutting and preparation techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cut various types of meat according to customer specifications and store standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including equipment and display cases.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations on meat products.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and restocking meat products as necessary.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
