About the Role:

As a Cheese Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of cheese products in our store. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in selecting cheeses that meet their preferences and dietary needs, while also educating them about different varieties and pairings. You will maintain the cheese display, ensuring it is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing inventory, including receiving shipments and monitoring product freshness. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a delightful shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a specialty food setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cheese varieties, production methods, and pairing techniques.
• Experience with inventory management and point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing cheese products, providing recommendations based on their tastes and preferences.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cheese display, ensuring products are properly labeled and presented.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock products as needed, and assist with receiving and processing shipments.
• Educate customers about different cheese varieties, including flavor profiles, origins, and pairing suggestions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to cheese products in a professional and courteous manner.
