Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods safely.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
Skills
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong manual dexterity for handling packages of various sizes and weights.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with courier services is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
