Location: 2502 E Poplar St., Algona, IA 50511

Schedule and Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm (on call as needed)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.

  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for employees.

  • Ensure the office environment is organized, clean, and conducive to productivity.

  • Maintain office equipment and supplies inventory, reorder items as necessary.

  • Coordinate with vendors and services providers to ensure office facilities are properly maintained.

  • Assist with onboarding new employees by preparing necessary papering necessary paperwork and facilitating orientation.

  • Manage employee records and update HR database with relevant information.

  • Assist in organizing company events and employee engagement activities.

  • Assist in managing office budgets and expenses.

  • Process invoices and expense reports in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports.

  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees, conveying important information and announcements.

  • Facilitate effective communication within the office, ensuring information flows efficiently

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred

  • Must have a complete understanding of employee rights and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with employees, prospective employees, and management.

  • Must have a working knowledge of all OSHA and EPA regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Must be able to use company operating systems.

  • Proficiency in MS office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software

  • Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
