Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or hospitality spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to ensure a spotless environment.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company standards and health regulations to promote safety and hygiene.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care techniques to keep surfaces safe and appealing.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents for various surfaces while practicing manual handling safety protocols for heavy lifting and outdoor work.
• Manage time effectively to complete daily cleaning tasks within designated schedules without compromising quality.
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to address specific cleaning needs or concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, hotel housekeeping, or janitorial services.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation standards, surface cleaning techniques, floor care, carpet cleaning, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning supplies.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents.
• Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required.
