Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot issues within industrial electrical systems.
- Manage electrical installation projects from blueprint review through completion, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety procedures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely to perform electrical work efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Lead or assist in managing teams of electricians during large-scale installations or maintenance tasks while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local building codes.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; capable of troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with managing teams of electricians on construction sites or during renovation projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures, building code compliance, and proper installation techniques for electrical systems.
- Ability to work on construction sites in various environments, including renovation projects that require adaptability and problem-solving skills.
