TITLE: Grants Writer/Fund Developer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the President & CEO, the Grants Writer/Fund Developer is responsible for grants management, fund development, and strategic marketing to ensure that the FWS (agency) achieves its funding and marketing objectives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Responsible for fund development, securing grants, grant management, developing and executing funding and marketing campaigns to ensure quality outcomes and services to the community serviced.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Grants Management and Reporting
- Identify and apply for contract/grant opportunities for the agency.
- Complete RFP/grant applications and proposals.
- Review and monitor existing and upcoming contracts/grants for fidelity and compliance.
- Maintain accurate accounts and reporting.
- Complete and submit program reports and assist with reporting requirements.
Marketing
- Develop and implements comprehensive strategic marketing plans/ campaigns to promote and highlight FWS programs, initiatives services, events, and other agency activities to foster brand awareness in the community.
- Oversee marketing activities for the agency and for the various departments.
- Provide guidance and feedback to executive leadership team and department directors/staff to improve, enhance, and grow marketing efforts to yield results.
- Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently.
- Monitor progress and submit performance reports.
- Responsible for producing valuable content for the organization’s online presence, social media platforms, editorial design and organizing the company’s publications.
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor’s marketing movements.
- Become the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships.
Community Outreach
- Represent FWS at community events; Establishes positive relationships with community leaders and serves on local committees. Seeks advantageous partnerships with community, businesses, vendors, and individuals. Acts as organization (FWS) spokesperson.
- Oversee the production and distribution of fundraising print materials such as letters, brochures, and campaign packets. Prepares media releases announcing special needs of facility and donor opportunities.
- Coordinate efforts with the President & CEO and/or the Board of Directors to cultivate donors; Advise board members about solicitation techniques and advises board committees as appropriate and submits reports as requested by the board.
- Create and manage programs and events to increase community engagement.
- Develop strategies for engaging participation of the constituents for programs.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NEEDED:
Responsible for attending meetings, completing paperwork, and/or performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by President & CEO.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with a minimum of three years of related experience and a proven track record working with non-profit organizations.
- The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in mentoring, monitoring, research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data.
- Must have the ability to work independently and collaborative to achieve organizational, departmental, and professional goals.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
