Franklin West Supervisory Union is seeking a Coordinator of Academic Systems and Assessments for the 2026-27 school year. The primary responsibility of the Coordinator of Academic Systems and Assessments is to support the improvement of student learning through the effective use of comprehensive assessment and other learning and recovery-related data. The Coordinator of Academic Systems and Assessments will coordinate school and district assessments; work collaboratively with SU and school administrators to provide strategic oversight and effective day-to-day management of learning-related data; and oversee the district’s platforms as a system, including state reporting systems/platforms and local proficiency-based reporting systems/platforms.
This is a 260 day Administrative position and reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Superintendent.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
-Leads and coordinates the implementation of the Vermont Comprehensive Assessment Program with teachers and administrators
-Leads, coordinates, and manages the implementation of FWSU's Local Assessment Plan components with teachers and administrators
-Collaborates with FWSU and school leaders to implement and enhance FWSU's Multi Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
-Serves as the administrative liaison/contact/and lead communicator between the FWSU Schools and the Vermont Agency of Education in all matters related to assessment and performance data (including but not limited to Assessment Windows, Compliance, Reporting, Annual Snapshot, and Equity Schools determinations and follow-through)
-Turns assessment results data into usable information through the use of charts and graphs and provides facilitation and aligned protocols so data can more easily be used and interpreted by Instructional Leaders for guided decision making
-Leads implementation, communicates needs/changes/challenges, and provides training for FWSU data-related platforms and programs
