Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical inspection to identify issues with heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems.
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other vital components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify machinery parts.
- Maintain and service equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, tire service, assembly work, and routine maintenance tasks while adhering to industry standards.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals for precise troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently while providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or operators.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive diagnostics.
- Proficiency in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including automotive electrical experience and soldering skills.
- Ability to perform complex repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and brake systems.
- Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, service equipment such as lifts or hoists, and performing heavy lifting safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid certifications related to vehicle maintenance or industrial equipment operation are a plus.
