Computer Technician (12 Month)
Franklin Township Public Schools, a diverse, suburban K-12 district that actively promotes the values of acceptance, respect & affirmation in its pursuit of excellence is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Technology Department. The Computer Technician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of computer desktop technology. Computer Technician duties include, but are not limited to the following: district-wide installation of all computer desktop systems, district-wide installation of network and desktop printing devices and drivers, district-wide installation of software, assist technology staff in monitoring industry publications for new technologies, assist technology staff in regular review and revision of security policies and implementations, assist district employees and teaching staff in determining technology needs and implementation solutions, assist technology staff in cost/benefit analysis for all major technology purchases, function as a backup for higher-level network administration, desktop hardware and software troubleshooting and repair, and any other assignment deemed necessary by the Director of Technology and/or Network Administrator
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- A Certification or in process
- Knowledge of Network Protocols, TCP/IP, NetBios, and IPX/SPX
- Knowledge of MAC enviornment
- Knowledge of Windows environment within the network of Windows NT
- Hardware/Software/Network troubleshooting skills.
