Design Consultant/Sales

Job Description:

As a design consultant for Franklin Tile Carpet One you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their flooring needs. You will work closely with our design specialists to ensure that our customers receive the best flooring solutions for their spaces. This role requires a self-driven individual with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers with a warm and friendly demeanor. Listen attentively to their flooring requirements, budget constraints, and design preferences.

Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our diverse flooring product offerings, including carpet, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), hardwood, and tile. Stay updated on industry trends and product features.

Design Collaboration: Collaborate with our in-house design specialists to provide customers with expert guidance on flooring selection, color coordination, and design aesthetics.

Sales and Consultation: Provide professional guidance to customers throughout the sales process, from product selection to closing the sale. Make tailored product recommendations to meet individual customer needs.

Samples and Demonstrations: Prepare and present flooring samples to customers, allowing them to visualize their choices effectively. Conduct product demonstrations as needed.

Estimations: Assist customers in obtaining accurate measurements for their flooring projects and provide estimates for materials and installation costs.

Order Processing: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are correct and customer expectations are met.

Customer Follow-Up: Maintain contact with customers throughout the project, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Weekend Availability: This position requires working on Saturdays to accommodate our customers' schedules.

Qualifications:

• Previous sales or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Self-driven and motivated to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Passion for interior design and home improvement.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of flooring products and industry trends is a plus.

• Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced environment
• Previous sales experience a plus
• Must be able to work on Saturdays

Daily Job Responsibilities:

• Helping customers design their projects and selecting product that fit their needs
• Developing product and product installation knowledge
• Measuring and quoting customer projects
• Managing customer relationships and ensuring we are meeting customer expectations
• Working with team members to maintain a customer-centered culture
• Generating new business/ networking opportunities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
