As Associate Registrar, you will work closely with the University Registrar to manage a broad range of academic records, scheduling, and student services functions for the Rindge campus. This role is well-suited for an experienced higher education professional who is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering accurate, timely service to students, faculty, and staff.This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week on-site at our Rindge, NH campus.
What You'll Do
Academic Scheduling & Registration- Lead the creation, review, and management of class schedules for the University
- Create final exam schedules for the Rindge campus
- Oversee classroom assignments for the Rindge campus
- Manage course waitlists, section changes, and registration processes
- Manage the graduation process, including application processing, final degree audits, updating Jenzabar J1, and completing degree conferrals
- Determine and communicate graduation-related timelines, deadlines, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate processing for special student groups: honors, study abroad, re-admits, transfers, consortium students, athletes, and more
- Manage Declaration of Major/Minor/Certificate processes, substitutions, waivers, and degree audit adjustments
- Post transfer credits and facilitate readmit audit adjustments
- Update National Student Clearinghouse as needed
- Support implementation of new technologies and lead training on emerging systems
- Ensure timely training and communication to University on registration, course scheduling, grading, and other Registrar Office updates
- Manage academic standing processes and advisor assignment/management
- Support accreditation, licensing, and strategic planning initiatives
- Serve on university committees and participate in professional development conferences
- Supervise Registrar staff and work-study students as needed
- Champion continuous improvement in office efficiency and administrative best practices
- Back-up to University Registrar in various processes and procedures.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA and the ability to maintain strict student record confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly and diplomatically
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments
- 2 years of experience working directly in a Registrar's Office
- Experience with Jenzabar J1
- Background in academic scheduling or degree auditing
