Summary

  • Supports FMFCU’s mission by connecting with members and communities through dynamic financial education programs and partnerships. Assists with the design and delivery of engaging financial literacy workshops, coordinates events, and acts as a trusted ambassador to promote financial wellness and Credit Union services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promotes financial education awareness for members and potential members of the Credit Union, within FMFCU’s field of membership.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with assigned and unassigned SEG’s, corporate partners, education organizations and community stakeholders to drive credit union growth and engagement.
  • Supports FMFCU’s larger corporate and community partners through adult financial education programming. Schedules classes, prepares appropriate curriculum and materials, teaches classes and seminars, prepares tracking reports, and gathers feedback to evaluate success.
  • Facilitates curriculum to members, potential members, and partner groups in our field of membership through a high energy and enthusiastic style. 
  • Partners with internal FMFCU Partners to identify and develop educational partnerships that link education and business development initiatives.
  • Represents the Credit Union at educational related events throughout the region, which may include making one-on-one and large group presentations, and teaching financial literacy to colleges, corporate partners (SEG’s) and community groups.
  • Coordinates and schedules resources and volunteers for community and corporate partner events.
  • Researches financial resources and stays up to date on current trends to keep financial literacy education content up-to-date and relevant.
  • Keeps current on credit union products, services, procedures, and regulations to effectively respond to member and potential
  • member inquiries.
  • Acts as an ambassador for FMFCU, refers business as appropriate.
  • Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies, such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Education, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a financial institution or related environment.
  • Proven experience delivering presentations or teaching financial concepts to large groups is required.
  • Experience developing or managing financial education programs, community outreach, or partnership engagement is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations is preferred.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 15 pounds.
