Seeking a candidate who
is willing to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team;
will provide mental health services to students within a school setting, including individual and group sessions;
has knowledge and experience in using a trauma-informed, evidence -based approach to counseling interventions;
maintains professional development and continuing education as needed for Maine licensure;
is dedicated to helping at-risk students meet personal and academic goals;
has a commitment to a safe school culture, one that is free of bullying, prioritizes respect, fosters acceptance, and promotes academic success;
collaborates with families to reduce barriers to students accessing their education, including improved attendance;
participates in IEP meetings, 504, and student support meetings as needed;
can provide support and education on the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students for staff;
assist in crisis situations with students and makes appropriate referrals as necessary; and
has excellent written and oral communication skills.
Job Requirements:
1. Current State of Maine License to practice clinical social work;
2. Current Maine Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) endorsement;
3. Experience in the delivery of clinical services to students (grades 7-12)
This position follow the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement, working 183 days per year
