Room Attendant

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including, but not limited to; stripping/making beds; removing garbage; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms; replenishing supplies; cleaning windows and mirrors.
• Inventories condition of rooms and communicates to immediate Supervisor and/or designated team member any damage caused by the guest or reports items that need to be repaired.
• Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
• Consistently maintains the same AKA standards and presentation of the guest rooms.
• Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.
• Maintains a stocked and organized cart while maintaining tools and equipment clean and orderly.
• Brings Lost and Found items to Supervisor/Manager to be logged in the Lost & Found system.
• Communicates with guests, residents and fellow team members in a professional and friendly manner in compliance with AKA service standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated energetic, self-motivated with a “can do” positive attitude.
• Should be able to verbally communicate in English.
• Preferred background in Housekeeping.

Required Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Flexibility with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Able to push/pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Sits, stands, bends, stretches, lifts items and moves intermittently during working hours.
• Able to work with chemicals.
