Short Term Substitute Trumpet Instructor in the Lifelong Music Academy After School Private Lesson Program
February 3, 2026 to April 28, 2026
Hourly Pay: $53.00 per teaching hour
Location:
Franklin High School
Schedule:
Tuesday evenings, currently 6:15-8:00 pm.
The schedule could expand to an earlier time if new students sign up.
Requirements
Professional musician with prior experience teaching one-on-one lessons to students of varying abilities. Extensive knowledge of sheet music and curriculum appropriate to students of varying abilities. Offer will be contingent upon successfully passing Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
Anticipated Dates:
Estimated Feb 3 - Apr 28, 2026. This is a substitute position for a short term leave, so the start and end dates will be contingent upon the start and end dates of the instructor’s leave. There are no lessons on February 17, 2026 or April 21, 2026 during school vacation week.
Additional Details:
Private music lessons are offered to elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as adults. Instructors are Franklin Public Schools employees and are paid bi-weekly.
