- Provides proactive leadership that engages all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to help students achieve success
- Academic skills support and career pathways
- Career and college readiness preparation
- Working knowledge of master schedule development and course requests
- Assist students in post-secondary planning such as college applications, scholarships and resume preparation
- Foster positive parent involvement
- Works closely with component district counseling departments
- Reviews each student's educational progress and career plans with each student individually
- Provides individual or group counseling assistance
- Assists students with attendance, academic, behavioral or adjustment problems, provide additional one on one counseling as needed
- Collects and reviews pertinent data for local and state reporting
- Coordinates tours, speakers, college visits, site visits
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Principal

DESCRIPTION:
QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification as a School Counselor
STARTING DATE: September 2026
SALARY: $55,445 (2026-27 Base Salary) Additional salary may be granted based upon experience
