About the Position:
The Environmental Engineering Manager will serve as the leader of environmental services for the company, responsible for overseeing environmental permitting and other regulatory-driven projects. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead for many projects while managing workload, mentoring environmental staff and supporting air and waste permitting efforts in air emissions testing, risk assessment, and industrial compliance. Experience with environmental permitting, report writing, calculations, compliance and site assessment essential. The Environmental Engineering Manager will interact with project team members, clients, contractors and vendors during the execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and processing regulatory information to assist clients in compliance activities at industrial facilities
- Utilizing Excel and other tools to perform calculations
- Participating in on-site testing to support permitting and risk assessment activities
- Providing project support for a variety of environmentally driven tasks at our service-based consulting firm
Essential Qualifications:
- BS Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related degree
- Coursework/experience in air and waste regulatory compliance, materials management, and sustainability
- 10 years’ experience in regulatory, consulting, or industrial compliance
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Detail oriented and expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Travel required < 20%
Preferred Experience:
- Title V and minor source air permitting in TN, KY and beyond
- Air dispersion modeling support
