Full job description for Function Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled function chef to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will
have experience in food service, team management, food production, food
handling, catering, and possess knowledge of food safety and inventory control.
We are looking for a creative individual to transform our catering menu, and has a
passion for creating a memorable event for all clients
Responsibilities:
- Plan preparation of food for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings,
holiday parties, baby showers, birthdays, etc
- Coordinate with GM to determine specific catering needs and preferences of
client
- Oversee food production, ensuring high quality and timely delivery
- Manage function staff including servers and kitchen assistants
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food preparation
and serving
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry / function services
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards
- Proficiency in catering operations and inventory control
- Excellent team management skills to lead a diverse catering team
