The Payroll Specialist I is responsible for processing payrolls for Franklin Electric’s domestic locations. Balances the 401(k) plan, Health Savings Account plan, taxes, net pay (checks and ACH), and garnishments to the GL. Verifies totals with designated individual from our preferred banking vendors. Prepare A/P vouchers for deductions (i.e. credit union, union dues, etc.). Creates transfer documents for Treasury and Cash departments for net pay, taxes, garnishments, 401k & Health Savings. Assist with the completion of routine governmental and regulatory forms and administration of the Company’s equity compensation plans.

What you will be doing:
- Payroll Inbox Management:
- Responsible for managing all items received through the payroll inbox.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of payroll for non-exempt roles.
- Additional Payroll Responsibilities:
- Prepares various account reconciliations as needed.
- Prepares monthly and weekly payroll reports.
- Administers expense programs.
- Addresses payroll tax issues and resolutions.
- Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll tasks.
