Position Summary
The Manufacturing Planner focuses on creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings within the Global Shop ERP system to support production planning and execution.
Working closely with engineering, estimating, production, and supply chain teams, the Manufacturing Planner ensures new retail display programs transition efficiently from prototype to fabrication, finishing, and final assembly.
Core Responsibilities
- Use an ERP system to develop manufacturing routings and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Review engineering drawings
- Understand fabrication methods and material utilization
- Provide general process knowledge of metal fabrication
- Process engineering changes (ECOs)
Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Relevant manufacturing experience may be considered in place of formal education
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production planning
- Experience working in metal fabrication, sheet metal, or welded assemblies
- Experience working with ERP systems and BOM / routing development
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with CAD software
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong computer and database skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Occasional time on the manufacturing floor supporting production teams
