What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Team Member position at Franklin Discovery Academy?
Shift Details
- Afternoon Shift: Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Facilities Team - Actively works on keeping our building clean, safe, and properly maintained.
The team member will:
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
- Complete general upkeep and repairs on buildings, machinery, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform general and deep cleaning, including carpet, tile, and floor finishing.
- Maintain the exterior grounds and yard areas.
- Move furniture, paint, repair drywall, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Prepare the facility for changing weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks both indoors and outdoors throughout the shift.

Minimum qualification include:
- Able to pass a BCI background check.
- Evidence of successful prior work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the job.
- Reliable, with the ability to work effectively in a school setting.
Compensation:
Starting at $15.60 per hour (specialized skills will be taken into consideration).
