The position of Deputy Sheriff is a law enforcement position requiring advanced education and/or experience and training. A Deputy Sheriff is a sworn law enforcement officer charged to uphold the laws of the County of Franklin, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States of America. RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, plus some additional law enforcement and computer training recommended. Must be able to obtain, and maintain Deputy Sheriff Act 2 certification or waiver, and complete required training. Must be able to pass and complete all conditional offers of employment, to include Act 57 compliant background investigations. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or related legal/judicial environment preferred.
