Position Description Non-Exempt
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB
To provide supportive services to Agency staff. An individual in this position assists county caseworkers in their direct service with children and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB
- Transport children and/or parents to appointments, and school with other agency staff
- Make request for records needed (i.e., educational, medical, dental, birth certificates, social security cards, etc.)
- Assist in placement preparation (i.e., calling providers for availability of space)
- Provide childcare at the office, courthouse, or hospital when necessary
- Maintain county vehicles. Ensure oil changes, inspections, etc. occurs regularly/when needed by scheduling for routine maintenance/inspection. Ensure needed supplies are current in each vehicle.
- Assure Agency car seats meet current safety standards and maintain inventory of car seats.
- Assist with paperwork
- Be able to utilize technology including copiers, scanners, and phones
- Enter case notes in Agency Case Management System for every contact with a family.
- Scan files into the online system
- Any other duties as requested from Agency Management Staff
OTHER DUTIES OF JOB
- Attends meetings, training, seminars as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives occasional instruction and some supervision from Director or Supervisor in regard to daily work duties.
