What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Truck Driver position at FRANKLIN COUNTY GOVERNMENT?
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A vehicles to transport goods, materials, and equipment as assigned
- Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Safely load and unload materials using proper restraints and handling procedures
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage reports, and required documentation
- Follow all county, state, and federal safety regulations and traffic laws
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks; report issues promptly
- Assist with general labor and operational tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening
- Experience operating commercial vehicles, trailers, and related equipment
- No Restrictions
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe hauling practices
