Franklin Biolabs, Inc. is in search of a Senior Accountant who plays a key role in accounting and finance activities, including month end close, financial reporting, and ad hoc analyses to support the growing business. The Senior Accountant supports the CFO by delivering accurate and timely financial results and analyses, which support informed decision-making and organizational success. This role also supports implementation and integration of Company financial technology and infrastructure.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related Finance field required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ GL accounting experience
- Experience working in the life sciences, CRO, or biotech industry preferred.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and financial technology platforms.
Certifications or Licenses:
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of audit processes and requirements, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Proficiency in performing full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying variances, trends and providing actionable insights from financial data.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and explaining complex financial information.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and analysis.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a small finance team in a growing organization.
On-Site:
- This position requires full-time on-site presence at our Discovery Labs location in King of Prussia, PA.
